Historical Music Video Tutorial - Adobe Express

Adobe Express features a variety of tools like type design and generative imagery that allow users to bring their ideas to life. The site provides a variety of templates that are easy for younger users to start in to learn how these tools function and inspire them to create.

In this video, users are taught how to create a music video about a historical event with the type tool, video assets, and animation tool. They also learn how to manipulate video and audio on the timeline feature. While the imagery is directly from the software, the mouse, menus, and overall motion are custom animated to feel more dynamic and keep the interest of the student. It was crucial that the menus and icons were consistent with the actual software they would work in so that users wouldn’t get confused trying to find the different tools and features from the tutorials. I created a base template for the windows and menu bars to maintain this consistency between each of the tutorials produced.
